Due to its optical design, the sensor readings are insensitive to sample distance variations, resulting in safe operation and flexible integration. Typical applications for this unit are continuous measurements of bulk materials on conveyor belts or web goods such as textiles, sheets, or paper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The probe\u2019s robust design assures reliable operation under harsh process condition. Using a fiber optic cable, the probe is fully compatible with all standard spectrometer systems. For automated system adjustment and self-diagnosis, the probe provides an integrated white reference. Dynamic status information for system monitoring is accessible via the electronic interface.<\/p>\n<p>The homogeneous illumination and the high sensitivity in combination with the signal\u2019s distance independency enables continuous monitoring of fast-moving samples, even with irregular specimen surfaces (bulk goods) or wavering webs.
